- 1 Beetroot (Big & cubed/chopped)
- 1 Cup water (to boil the beetroot)
- To Taste Salt
- To Taste Sugar
- 1 tsp Ajwain/Carrom Seeds
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder (Homemade)
- 1.5 Cups Maida (All-purpose Flour)
- 1 tsp Ghee (Moiyan)
- 2-3 Garlic pods (paste)
- 2 green chillies paste
- 250 gm Cooking Oil For Frying the Puris
Instructions to make to make Beetroot Puri
- Pressure Cook the Beetroot with 3-4 whistles & allow it to cool down & on cooling- strain it from its stalk & keep the stalk aside for later use (as is required)
- Once cooled down- blend it to a smooth paste in a blender jar without adding any additional water
- Now, in a parat/bowl- take all the ingredients aforementioned, altogether- add in the half portion of the cooked beetroot paste (or as is required)
- Now, prepare a soft & smooth dough (alike any other chapati dough), cover it & set aside for at least 30 mins time
- Now, in deep frying pan- Add sufficient oil for frying the puris & let it become rightly hot enough- make the dough balls of your choice & roll out each one of that to yield into the delicious & delectable beetroot puris...
